NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS
FOOD SERVICE CONSULTING SERVICES #2014-01
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the Soledad Unified School District (hereinafter referred to as “District”) is requesting proposals for management consulting of the food service program (the “Program”).
No offer of intent should be construed from this legal notice that the District intends to enter into a contract with the interested Food Service Management Company (hereinafter referred to as “FSMC”) unless, in the sole opinion of the District, it is in the best interest of the District to do so. The District reserves the right to negotiate final contractual terms with the successful FSMC.
The Request for Proposal documents can be downloaded on the Soledad Unified School District website, http://www.soledad.monterey.k12.ca.us/. The Request for Proposal documents will not be provided via email, postal mail or facsimile transmission.
A mandatory tour will be held on June 11, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the District Office. All potential bidders must be in attendance in order for their proposal to be considered.
Written proposals, submitted in a sealed envelope labeled Proposal- Food Service Management Company #2014-01, must be submitted at the District Office at 1261 Metz Rd, Soledad, CA 93960, Attn: Chief Business Officer, on or before June 17, 2013 at 4:00 pm. Proposals received with a date or time stamp after the deadline will not be considered and shall be returned to the FSMC. Proposals will be opened in a non-public opening at 4:45pm. Companies may not withdraw proposals for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening of the proposals.
The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to waive any irregularity or informality in a proposal or in the proposal process. Award of the Agreement (as defined below), if at all, will be based upon a comprehensive review and analysis of the proposals, and a determination as to which proposal best meets the needs of the District. The District will be the sole judge of the suitability of the proposed food services proposal and the selected FSMC shall abide by the District’s decision.
Proposals will be studied and a recommendation will be made to the Board of Education at its regular meeting.
Interested parties should direct their questions to Holly Scudder, Chief Business Officer, at the address shown above or at (831) 678-3987, ext.131.
